Course banner

The Sustainability & Environmental Issues in Real Estate Development course examines the environmental and sustainability challenges associated with modern real estate development. It introduces the principles of sustainable urban development, environmental design, renewable energy integration, and environmental impact assessment in the built environment. Students explore the relationship between sustainability, real estate markets, and property valuation, focusing on how environmental performance affects investment decisions and long-term value. Through case studies, sustainability frameworks, and international rating systems (e.g., LEED, BREEAM, GSAS), the course develops the ability to evaluate and apply sustainability principles in real estate planning and development.
